About Anchored Art Therapy

A place to feel, create, and heal—on your own terms.

Our Mission

Anchored Art Therapy helps individuals ages 8 and up heal from trauma, anxiety, and life transitions through creative expression, EMDR, and compassionate, trauma-informed care.

Rooted in the belief that healing begins by grounding ourselves in the present moment, our practice offers a safe and inclusive space where clients can reconnect with their inner selves — even when words fall short. Whether through art-making, storytelling, or somatic work, we use modalities that engage the whole person to support emotional safety, resilience, and meaningful growth.

Anchored Art Therapy exists to help clients feel steady, connected, and empowered in their healing journey — honoring creativity as a powerful path back to self.

How We Work

We offer therapy that meets you where you are—whether that’s through art, conversation, or simply sitting in stillness.

Our approach blends:

  • Art Therapy – creative expression when words aren’t enough

  • EMDR – for healing trauma held in the mind and body

  • Individual Therapy – gentle, grounded talk therapy that’s never rushed

All sessions are trauma-informed, consent-based, LGBTQ+ affirming, and culturally responsive.

Who We Work With

We support children (ages 8+), teens, adults, and caregivers navigating:

  • Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm

  • Childhood trauma or complex PTSD

  • Life transitions, identity exploration, or burnout

  • Grief, sensory sensitivity, or difficulty expressing emotions

  • Feeling like traditional therapy hasn’t worked

Our Space

Whether you’re joining us in person in Oklahoma City or virtually across the state, our goal is the same:

To create a space that feels less like a clinic—and more like a quiet exhale. A place where you can come as you are and be met with care, creativity, and compassion.
